Handan Steel to supply 10,000 mt of steel for J55 OCTG production

Hebei Province-based Chinese steelmaker Handan Iron and Steel Co. (Handan Steel) has inked two contracts for supply of 10,000 mt of semi-finished steel for the production of J55 oil country tubular goods (OCTG), as announced by its parent company Chinese steelmaker Hebei Iron and Steel Co. (Hebei Steel).

Accordingly, Handan Steel will supply Shanxi Province-based Chinese steel pipe producer Baoji-SMI Petroleum Steel Pipe Co. with 8,000 mt of the relevant steel products which will be mainly used in the Talimu oil and gas delivery project by Helongjiang Province-based PetroChina Daqing Oil Field after being made into steel pipe, while the other 2,000 mt will be supplied to Jiangsu Province-based Chinese steel pipe producer Wuxi Fastube Steel Pipe Group Co.
