Handan Steel to supply 1 million mt of rebar for hydropower station

Hebei Province-based Chinese steelmaker Handan Iron and Steel Group Co., a subsidiary of major Chinese steel producer Hebei Iron and Steel Group, has won a contract to supply 1 million mt of HRB 400 rebar for Wudonghe Hydroelectric Power Station at Jinsha River within three years, accounting for one fifth of the total rebar supply volume for the project, as announced by Hebei Steel Group on February 25. As of February 20, over 3,000 mt of HRB 400 rebar has already been delivered to the customer.
 
Additionally, the product in question will be supplied in a wide range of specifications, in nine diameters including 12 mm, 28 mm, 32 mm and others, and in lengths of 9 m and 12 m. There are strict requirements for the product in terms of yield strength, tensile strength, elongation and cold bending.
