Mexican longs steelmaker Grupo Simec said it was notified by the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) that it failed to file a 20-F form for the fiscal year ended on December 31, 2018.

Grupo Simec said the notice stated the company was “uncompliant” with the rule, and as a result, it will be subject to the “procedures and requirements set forth in Section 1007 of the NYSE American Company Guide.”

Grupo Simec said it expects to file the delayed form by May 31, 2019.

“However, the timing of the filing is uncertain at this moment, and this projected filing date could change,” the company noted.
