Germany’s steel output down again in November

Germany's crude steel and pig iron production continued to show a decline in November. Data from Germany's Federal Statistical Office indicate that the country's crude steel output fell 10.4 percent year on year to 3.58 million tons in November. Pig iron output decreased 12.2 percent year on year to 2.24 million tons. Compared to previous month, November production of crude steel fell 11.9 percent and pig iron production decreased 13.4 percent. Crude steel output totaled 40.98 million tons through the first eleven months of the year, down 4.2 percent year on year. In addition, pig iron output amounted 26.38 million tons, down 4 percent.
