In April this year, seasonally-adjusted industrial production increased by 0.8 percent in Germany compared to the previous month, while the corrected figure for March showed a decrease of 0.1 percent compared to February, according to the provisional data of the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis).
As compared to March, in April this year production excluding energy and construction increased by 0.4 percent, while the production of capital goods rose by 0.3 percent and output of consumer goods fell 0.7 percent. Meanwhile, the production of intermediate goods increased by one percent, while energy production grew by 5.7 percent and construction output saw a fall of 0.1 percent, all month on month.
