Gerdau temporarily suspends production in Michigan following explosion

Local media reported Friday that an explosion late afternoon within one of the furnaces at Gerdau's steel mill in Jackson, Michigan caused injury to two employees who have been hospitalized. Operations at the facility were temporarily suspended, although no major impact on production is anticipated.
