Fushun Special Steel sees 9.2 percent rise in net profit in Q1

Liaoning Province-based Chinese steelmaker Fushun Special Steel Co., a subsidiary of Dongbei Special Steel Group, issued its financial results for the first quarter of this year as well as its revised figures for 2012.

Accordingly, in the first quarter the company achieved an operating revenue of RMB 1.46 billion ($234 million), up 10.9 percent year on year, while its net profit totaled RMB 5.1088 million ($0.82 million), with an increase of 9.2 percent compared to the same period last year.

Meanwhile, according to its revised figures, in 2012 Fushun Special Steel's operating revenue amounted to RMB 4.911 billion ($787 million), down 9.34 percent, while its net profit totaled RMB 20.4933 million ($3.3 million), down 20.03 percent, both on year-on-year basis.
