Freight volumes on China’s waterways up 0.2 percent in January

In January this year, the overall freight volume transported on China’s waterways (rivers, lakes, seas) amounted to 523.23 million mt, increasing by 0.2 percent year on year, while the freight traffic volume on the country’s waterways totaled787.30888 billion mt-km, declining by 2.7 percent year on year, according to the latest data issued by China’s Ministry of Transportation (MOT).
