Freight volumes on China’s railways up 5.59 percent in January-April

Chinese state-owned railway company China Railway Corporation (CRC) has announced that in April this year the overall freight volume transported on China’s railways amounted to 242.0 million mt, rising by 1.63 percent year on year.

In the January-April period this year, the freight volume transported on China’s railways totaled 1.02 billion mt, up 5.59 percent year on year.
