In particular, in the January-May period the foreign trade freight volume handled at large ports in China totaled 1.72 billion mt, rising by 2.7 percent year on year.
Meanwhile, in the given period containers handled at large ports in China amounted to 99.593 million twenty-foot equivalent units (TEUs), increasing by 5.4 percent year on year.
