France's steel product import value up 8.1 percent in January-September

According to the statistics released by the French Ministry of Economy, Finance and Industry, in the January-September period of this year France's basic steel product and ferroalloy imports amounted to a value of €7.27 billion, increasing by 8.1 percent year on year.

During the period in question, France imported €1.43 billion of steel pipes and tubes - up 9.8 percent, €346.11 million of cold rolled steel bars - up 23.2 percent, €553.93 million of cold rolled steel strip - rising by 14.7 percent, €327.77 million of cold drawn wire - growing by 15.4 percent, and €1.34 billion of metal structures and parts - increasing by 10.3 percent, all compared to the January-September period of 2017.
