France's steel product import value up 7.7 percent in January-October

According to the statistics released by the French Ministry of Economy, Finance and Industry, in the January-October period of this year France's basic steel product and ferroalloy imports amounted to a value of €8.16 billion, increasing by 7.7 percent year on year.

During the period in question, France imported €1.6 billion of steel pipes and tubes - up 9.4 percent, €393.03 million of cold rolled steel bars - up 23.6 percent, €627.72 million of cold rolled steel strip - rising by 14.9 percent, €370.17 million of cold drawn wire - growing by 15.6 percent, and €1.51 billion of metal structures and parts - increasing by 10.3 percent, all compared to the January-October period of 2017.
