France's steel product import value up 7.3 percent in January-July

According to the statistics released by the French Ministry of Economy, Finance and Industry, in the January-July period of this year France's basic steel product and ferroalloy imports amounted to a value of €5.86 billion, increasing by 7.3 percent year on year.

During the period in question, France imported €1.13 billion of steel pipes and tubes - up 7.6 percent, €281.19 million of cold rolled steel bars - up 21.4 percent, €441.12 million of cold rolled steel strip - rising by 13.9 percent, €271.68 million of cold drawn wire - growing by 17.9 percent, and €1.04 billion of metal structures and parts - increasing by 7.6 percent, all compared to the January-July period of 2017.
