France's steel product import value up 7.2 percent in Jan-Apr

According to the statistics released by the French Ministry of Economy, Finance and Industry, in the January-April period of this year France's basic steel product and ferroalloy imports amounted to a value of €3.38 billion, increasing by 7.2 percent year on year.

During the period in question, France imported €639.04 million of steel pipes and tubes - up 7.8 percent, €156.19 million of cold rolled steel bars - up 19.3 percent, €248.1 million of cold rolled steel strip - rising by 16.8 percent, €160.42 million of cold drawn wire - growing by 23.3 percent, and €578.31 million of metal structures and parts - increasing by 9.4 percent, all compared to the January-April period of 2017.
