France's steel product import value up 22.3 percent in January

According to the statistics released by the French Ministry of Economy, Finance and Industry, in January this year France's basic steel product and ferroalloy imports amounted to a value of €720.42 million, increasing by 22.3 percent year on year.
 
During the month in question, France imported €145.48 million of steel pipes and tubes - up 27.6 percent, €48.07 million of cold rolled steel strip - rising by 23.4 percent, €29.84 million of cold drawn wire - dropping  by 5.9 percent, €29.08 million of cold rolled steel bars - up 11.8 percent, and €131.13 million of metal structures and parts - increasing by 24.5 percent, all compared to January 2016.
