France's steel product import value up 12.7 percent in Jan-Feb

According to the statistics released by the French Ministry of Economy, Finance and Industry, in the January-February period of the current year, France's basic steel product and ferroalloy imports amounted to a value of €1.65 billion, increasing by 12.7 percent year on year.

During the period in question, France imported €309.36 million of steel pipes and tubes - up four percent, €124.84 million of cold rolled steel strip - rising by 23.1 percent, €79 million of cold drawn wire - growing by 28.2 percent, €74.18 million of cold rolled steel bars - up 20.3 percent, and €269.83 million of metal structures and parts - increasing by 6.43 percent, all compared to the first two months of 2017.
