According to the statistics released by the French Ministry of Economy, Finance and Industry, in the January-April period this year France's basic steel product and ferroalloy imports amounted to a value of €3.32 billion, decreasing by one percent year on year.
In the given period, France imported €654.14 million of steel pipes and tubes - up 1.5 percent, €171.8 million of cold rolled steel bars - up 8.1 percent, €249.08 million of cold rolled steel strip - falling by 0.6 percent, €150.6 million of cold drawn wire - declining by 7.17 percent, and €598 million of metal structures and parts - falling by 1.66 percent, all compared to the same period of 2018.
