France's steel product import value down 8.2 percent in Jan-Oct

According to the statistics released by the French Ministry of Economy, Finance and Industry, in the January-October period of the current year France's basic steel product and ferroalloy imports amounted to a value of €6.09 billion, decreasing by 8.2 percent year on year.
 
During the period in question, France imported €1.27 billion of steel pipes and tubes - down 25.7 percent, €423.76 million of cold rolled steel strip - falling by 4.9 percent, €286.01 million of cold drawn wire - dropping  by 3.2 percent, €277.3 million of cold rolled steel bars - down 11.3 percent, and €1.23 billion of metal structures and parts - increasing by 4.6 percent, all compared to the January-October period of 2015.
