France's steel product import value down 6.1 percent in January-September

According to the statistics released by the French Ministry of Economy, Finance and Industry, in the January-September period this year, France's basic steel product and ferroalloy imports amounted to a value of €6.82 billion, decreasing by 6.1 percent year on year.

In the given period, France imported €1.41 billion of steel pipes and tubes - down 1.4 percent, €338.23 million of cold rolled steel bars - down 3.1 percent, €541.67 million of cold rolled steel strip - falling by 3.8 percent, €324.72 million of cold drawn wire - declining by 1.2 percent, and €1.39 billion of metal structures and parts - decreasing by 1.4 percent, all compared to the same period of 2018.
