According to the statistics released by the French Ministry of Economy, Finance and Industry, in the January-May period this year France's basic steel product and ferroalloy imports amounted to a value of €4.10 billion, decreasing by 1.4 percent year on year.
In the given period, France imported €815.92 million of steel pipes and tubes - up 0.6 percent, €211.31 million of cold rolled steel bars - up 5.5 percent, €312.62 million of cold rolled steel strip - falling by 0.6 percent, €186.78 million of cold drawn wire - declining by 7.3 percent, and €794.82 million of metal structures and parts - rising by 4.9 percent, all compared to the same period of 2018.
