France's steel product import value down 0.9 percent in January-February

According to the statistics released by the French Ministry of Economy, Finance and Industry, in the January-February period this year France's basic steel product and ferroalloy imports amounted to a value of €1.64 billion, decreasing by 0.9 percent year on year.

In the given period, France imported €324 million of steel pipes and tubes - up 2.8 percent, €88.44 million of cold rolled steel bars - up 17.33 percent, €122.9 million of cold rolled steel strip - falling by 2.7 percent, €73.1 million of cold drawn wire - declining by eight percent, and €294.9 million of metal structures and parts - increasing by four percent, all compared to 2018.
