France's steel product export value up eight percent in Jan-Apr

According to the statistics released by the French Ministry of Economy, Finance and Industry, in the January-April period of this year France's basic steel product and ferroalloy exports amounted to a value of €3.6 billion, rising by eight percent year on year.

During the period in question, France exported €406.47 million of steel pipes and tubes - down 19 percent, €157.61 million of cold rolled steel bars - up 19.4 percent, €228 million of cold rolled steel strip - up four percent, €125.82 million of cold drawn wire - up 5.1 percent, and €260.06 million of metal structures and parts - rising by 23.3 percent, all compared to the first four months of 2017.
