France's steel product export value up 5.6 percent in January-May

According to the statistics released by the French Ministry of Economy, Finance and Industry, in the January-May period of this year France's basic steel product and ferroalloy exports amounted to a value of €4.53 billion, rising by 5.6 percent year on year.

During the period in question, France exported €488.68 million of steel pipes and tubes - down 17.2 percent, €200.19 million of cold rolled steel bars - up 20.4 percent, €291.17 million of cold rolled steel strip - up seven percent, €154.78 million of cold drawn wire - up 3.6 percent, and €318.61 million of metal structures and parts - rising by 18.4 percent, all compared to the first five months of 2017.
