France's steel product export value down 3.5 percent in January-May

According to the statistics released by the French Ministry of Economy, Finance and Industry, in the January-May period this year France's basic steel product and ferroalloy exports amounted to a value of €4.39 billion, decreasing by 3.5 percent year on year.

In the given period, France exported €720 million of steel pipes and tubes - up 47.3 percent, €197.38 million of cold rolled steel bars - down 0.7 percent, €265.2 million of cold rolled steel strip - down 8.9 percent, €145.82 million of cold drawn wire - down 5.8 percent, and €189.14 million of metal structures and parts - falling by 9.2 percent, all compared to the same period of 2018.
