According to the statistics released by the French Ministry of Economy, Finance and Industry, in the first quarter of this year France's basic steel product and ferroalloy exports amounted to a value of €2.06 billion, decreasing by 19.8 percent year on year.
In the given period, France exported €289.01 million of steel pipes and tubes - down 30.2 percent, €96.5 million of cold rolled steel bars - declining by 19.8 percent, €139.8 million of cold rolled steel strip - down 14.2 percent, €67.11 million of cold drawn wire - decreasing by 25 percent, and €142.13 million of metal structures and parts - falling by 18.5 percent, all compared to the same period in 2019.
