France’s metallurgical industry orders switch to uptrend in July

According to the statistics released by France's National Institute of Statistics and Economic Studies (INSEE), in July this year France's new industrial orders received, excepting heavy tranport vehicles, rose by 1.7 percent month on month. In June, a revised month-on-month increase of 1.1 percent was registered.
 
Meanwhile, in the month in question, export orders increased as compared to the previous month, at a rate of 6.1 percent.
 
In July, industrial orders in the domestic metallurgical industry rose by 11.5 percent as compared to the previous month, after declining for two consecutive months, while industrial orders in the manufacture of metal products except machinery fell by 2.8 percent as compared to June.
 
In July, industrial orders in France's automotive industry improved by 3.4 percent as compared to the previous month, following an increase of 1.8 percent recorded in June.
