France’s metal industry orders up 2.4 percent in Oct over Sept

According to the statistics released by France's National Institute of Statistics and Economic Studies (INSEE), in October this year France's new industrial orders received, excepting heavy tranport vehicles, rose slightly by 0.3 percent month on month. In September, a revised month-on-month decrease of 3.6 percent was registered.
 
Meanwhile, in October, export orders remained nearly unchanged as compared to the previous month, up 0.3 percent.
 
In October, industrial orders in the domestic metallurgical industry rose by 2.4 percent as compared to the previous month, while industrial orders in the manufacture of metal products except machinery fell by 6.4 percent as compared to September. In October, industrial orders in France's automotive industry improved by 1.7 percent as compared to the previous month, following a month-on-month decrease of 7.4 percent recorded in September.
