According to the data released by France's National Institute of Statistics and Economic Studies (INSEE), in June this year the prices of imported iron ore in France decreased further by 8.9 percent month on month, following the strong month-on-month decrease of 9.4 percent recorded in May, while the prices are 18.9 percent lower compared to the same month of the previous year. According to INSEE, prices of non-ferrous metals and iron ores fell due to a low demand from China, world's largest metal consumer.

Meanwhile, in France the import price index of nickel in June declined 6.1 percent compared to the previous month.
