Italy-based Forni Industriali Bendotti has announced that it has closed a deal for the supply of a new reheating furnace to Ferrosider, which produces merchant bars in Brescia and is controlled by ORI Martin Group. This will be the second furnace delivered to ORI Martin Group by Forni Industriali Bendotti.

The walking beam furnace for Ferrosider, with a production capacity of 110 metric tons per hour, will feed the rolling mill located in the factory in the town of Ospitaletto, Brescia, and will replace the existing furnace. The new furnace will be up and running by 2019.

Ferrosider is specialized in the production of merchant bars, round and square bars, universal flats, flat bars for drawing, angles, and UPN, IPE and T bars. It was founded in 1972 by the Stefana family, while ORI Martin Group acquired a 75 percent majority stake in the company in 2018.

Forni Industriali Bendotti is a northern Italy-based company which operates worldwide, specializing in the manufacture of prefabricated heating furnaces.
