Foreign direct investment (FDI) in China in the January-October period of this year totaled RMB 701.16 billion ($107.66 billion), up 3.3 percent year on year, with a total of 49,545 new companies set up by foreign investment in China, rising by 89.3 percent year on year, as announced by China's Ministry of Commerce (MOC).
In particular, in the given period the direct investments made in China by South Korea, Japan, the US, the UK, Germany and France increased by 36.0 percent, 24.0 percent, 4.1 percent, 175.9 percent, 31.2 percent and 19.3 percent, respectively, year on year.
