Foreign direct investment in China increases by 2.6 percent in Jan-Nov

Foreign direct investment (FDI) in China in the January-November period of the current year totaled $124.39 billion, up 2.6 percent year on year, with a total of 36,747 new companies set up by foreign investment in China, as announced by China's Ministry of Commerce (MOC), indicating a 0.3 percent fall as compared to the FDI recorded in the first ten months.

In November alone, foreign direct investment (FDI) in China amounted to $13.62 billion, up 0.1 percent year on year.

FDI in eastern, middle and western China rose by 6 percent, 5.6 percent and 7.3 percent year on year in the first eleven months, while FDI in pilot free trade zone accounted for 14.3 percent of the total FDI in China in the January-November period of the year.
