Turkish automotive producer Ford Otosan has announced that it has extended the production halt at its plants in Turkey until April 27 due to disruptions in sales, supplies from abroad and deliveries overseas. The company stated that there will be no layoffs during this period.

Previously on March 30, Ford Otosan had announced the temporary halt of its Kocaeli and Eskisehir plants in Turkey until April 13 within the scope of the measures taken to reduce the impact of the coronavirus.

Ford Europe has also decided to extend production halts due to the disruptions in trade activities and the supply chain caused by the pandemic.
