Finished steel inventory in China increases during January

As of January 28 this year, overall domestic inventories of the five main finished steel products in China totaled 8.54 million mt, up 300,000 mt or 3.6 percent month on month, as announced by the China Iron and Steel Association (CISA).

In particular, as of the given date, domestic inventories of hot rolled coil (HRC), cold rolled coil (CRC), common medium plate, wire rod and rebar amounted to 1.73 million mt, 1.80 million mt, 1.10 million mt, 1.17 million mt and 2.74 million mt, respectively increasing by 4.4 percent, rising by 0.1 percent, decreasing by 6.1 percent, increasing by 14.8 percent and up 5.6 percent, month on month.
