Finished steel inventory in China continues to decrease during July

As of July 28 this year, overall domestic inventories of the five main finished steel products in China totaled 9.29 million mt, down 0.31 million mt or 3.3 percent month on month, as announced by the China Iron and Steel Association (CISA).

In particular, as of the given date, domestic inventories of hot rolled coil (HRC), cold rolled coil (CRC), common medium plate, wire rod and rebar amounted to 1.80 million mt, 1.79 million mt, 1.01 million mt, 1.16 million mt and 3.53 million mt, respectively increasing by 5.6 percent, decreasing by 0.6 percent, increasing by 2.2 percent, decreasing by 14.1 percent and decreasing by 6.1 percent month on month.
