Final Results of AD review on stainless steel bar from India
The US Department of Commerce (DOC), on March 8, 2004 published preliminary results of administrative review of the antidumping duty on stainless steel bars imported from India. As previously reported by SteelOrbis, the review covered seven Indian producers/exporters of the subject merchandise. The period of review was February 1, 2002 through January 31, 2003. DOC preliminarily determined to rescind the review with respect to Mukand Ltd and FACOR, as they withdrew their request for a review. However, DOC determined that the sales of subject merchandise were made below normal values by three producers, namely Chandan Steel Limited, Isibars Limited and Jyoti Steel Industries. DOC has finally determined to revoke the antidumping duty order with respect to Viraj Alloys Ltd, Viraj Forgings Ltd and Viraj Impoexpo Ltd. Moreover, DOC determined to make changes in the margin calculations. Accordingly, the weighted-average duty margins exist for imports from India:Producer/exporter Margin Chandan Steel Limited..............................21.02% Isibars Limited....................................21.02% Jyoti Steel Industries.............................21.02% Venus Wire Industries Limited.......................0.06% Viraj Alloys, Viraj Forgings and Viraj Impoexpo.....0.00%
