Ferrexpo’s pellet output decreases by 1.6 percent in Q1

Swiss-headquartered resources company Ferrexpo, whose main interests are in Ukrainian iron ore assets, has announced that in Q1 this year its overall pellet production decreased by 1.6 percent year on year to 2.303 million mt, although its total pellet output in March was 10.3 percent up on the February output level.
 
In the first three months of this year, Ferrexpo's pellet production from its own raw materials decreased by 1.8 percent year on year, amounting to 2.124 million mt, while its pellet production from third party concentrate saw an increase of 1.2 percent year on year to 179,500 mt.
 
Meanwhile, in January-March this year, Ferrexpo registered a 2.7 percent decrease year on year in its iron ore production to 7.016 million mt, while its iron ore concentrate production saw a 0.5 percent rise year on year to 2.709 million mt.
