In the January-May period this year, Swiss-headquartered miner Ferrexpo, whose main interests are in Ukrainian iron ore assets, saw its iron ore pellet production increase by six percent year on year to 4.7 million mt.

In the meantime, its sales of iron ore pellets in the given period rose by approximately 21 percent year on year. The higher sales were a result of its strong production performance, destocking, and the company’s chance to offset weaker demand in Europe by increased sales to Asia, the company said.
