Swiss-headquartered miner Ferrexpo, whose main interests are in Ukrainian iron ore assets, has reported positive production results for the first 11 months of the current year.
In the given period, the company’s concentrate production increased by four percent year on year to 12.1 million mt, while its pellet output inched up by only 0.03 percent to 9.7 million mt, according to the official statement. In November alone, Ferrexpo produced 802,000 mt of iron ore pellets and almost 1.1 million mt of agglomerate.
As disclosed previously, Ferrexpo is aiming to achieve annual pellet production in 2019 in the range of 10.4-10.6 million mt. Taking into account the data reported for the first 11 months, this goal may be achieved, SteelOrbis understands.
