The UK-based company Ferrexpo, whose main interests are in Ukrainian iron ore assets, has announced its production results for the first three months of 2009.
Accordingly, in January-March 2009 the company recorded a 13.2 percent decrease year on year in its iron ore production to 6.192 million metric tons, while its concentrate production saw a 15.1 percent fall to 2.288 million metric tons.
During the given period, Ferrexpo's total pellet production decreased by 17 percent year on year to 1.883 million metric tons.
