FAI in roads, railways, waterways and civil aviation in China up 4.8% in H1

In the January-June period of this year, fixed asset investment (FAI) in roads, railways, waterways and civil aviation in China totaled RMB 1.3698 trillion ($199.4 billion), increasing by 4.8 percent year on year, as announced by China’s Ministry of Transportation (MOT).

In particular, in the first half of the year, the fixed asset investment (FAI) in transportation by the provinces of Zhejiang, Guangdong and Shandong amounted to RMB 142.8 billion, RMB 84.2 billion and RMB 82.0 billion, up 20.0 percent, 22.0 percent and 28.8 percent year on year, respectively, completing 55.0 percent, 70.2 percent and 50.6 percent of their annual planned FAI in transportation.
