Evraz to supply billets for Philippines-based Steel Asia

Russian mining and steel producing company Evraz Group has announced that its subsidiary Evraz ZSMK has started production of billets for Philippines-based rebar producer Steel Asia. The first lot will totaled 30,000 mt. 
 
According to the non-binding memorandum of understanding that Evraz and Steel Asia signed at the end of May, Evraz will supply up to 50,000 mt of billets a month to the plants of the Steel Asia. The agreement was signed for a year, but can be extended by mutual agreement.
