Evraz starts repairs of ZapSib’s oxygen converter No. 4

Russian steelmaker and iron ore producer Evraz Group (Evraz) has started the planned repair of oxygen converter No. 4 at its subsidiary West-Siberian Steel Works (ZapSib).

Accordingly, repairs of all the mechanisms of the unit are planned, which will result in a significant increase in the converter's efficiency, reliability, safety and reduction of emissions.

"Timely repair of production facilities can provide stability for all shops and divisions of Siberian subsidiaries of Evraz," reads ZapSib's statement.
