In June this year, new commercial vehicle registrations in the European Union (EU) rose by 7.3 percent year on year to almost 247,000 units, according to the European Automobile Manufacturers' Association (ACEA).
In June, among the five big markets, Spain (9.0%), Germany (7.2%) and France (3.2%) recorded the highest gains, all year on year, while the United Kingdom (-7.7%) and Italy (-1.3%) performed significantly less well than in June last year.
In the first half of this year, new commercial vehicle registrations in the EU totaled almost 1.3 million units, up 4.7 percent on year-on-year basis. Spain (10.9%), France (5.0%), Germany (3.7%) and Italy (2.1%) recorded the highest increases, while the UK (-3.5%) market declined, all year on year.
