In April this year, new commercial vehicle registrations in the European Union (EU) rose by 9.6 percent year on year to almost 200,000 units, according to the European Automobile Manufacturers' Association (ACEA).
In April, demand remained almost unchanged in the UK but was up in the other key EU markets, with increases in Spain (22%), Germany (14.5%), France (6.9%) and Italy (1.3%), compared to April 2017.
In the first four months of this year, new commercial vehicle registrations in the EU totaled 822,481 units, up 4.3 percent on year-on-year basis. Spain (12.3%), France (6.4%), Italy (3.9%) and Germany (3.8%) recorded the highest increases, while the UK (-3.4%) market declined, all year on year.
