In April this year, new commercial vehicle registrations in the European Union (EU) decreased by 7.2 percent year on year to 181,434 units, according to the European Automobile Manufacturers' Association (ACEA).
In April, demand declined across all major EU markets, with decreases in the UK (-14.9%), Germany (-11.8%), Spain (-1.0%) and France (-0.4%), compared to April 2016.
In the first four months of this year, new commercial vehicle registrations in the EU totaled 788,181 units, up 3.8 percent on year-on-year basis. Spain (+14.5%), Italy (+8.2%), France (+6.7%) and Germany (+2.0%) recorded the highest increases, while the UK (-3.1%) market declined , all year on year.
