European commercial vehicle registrations down 8.9 percent in Jan-Feb

In February this year, new commercial vehicle registrations in the European Union (EU) declined by 6.2 percent year on year to 154,889 units, according to the European Automobile Manufacturers' Association (ACEA).

In February, all major EU markets declined except France (1.6%), with decreases in Germany (7.6%), Spain (5.9%) and Italy (4%), compared to February 2019.

In the first two months of this year, new commercial vehicle registrations in the EU totaled 308,350 units, down 8.9 percent on year-on-year basis.  Spain (12.8%), Germany (7.6%), France (3.6%) and Italy (3.5%) all saw demand for commercial vehicles decrease in the given period.
