In August this year, new commercial vehicle registrations in the European Union (EU) fell by eight percent year on year, having previously dropped by 17.4 percent in July, according to the European Automobile Manufacturers’ Association (ACEA). The latest decrease was the 14th consecutive decline. In the given month, all major countries, except Spain, which reported an 11.5 percent increase in new commercial vehicle registrations, reported negative results.
In the first eight months of this year, new commercial vehicle registrations in the EU were down by 18.8 percent on year on year to 1 million units. Spain (-25.2%), France (-21.5%), Germany (-17.1%) and Italy (-11.1%) all recorded declines.
