Euro zone’s PPI up in February

European Union statistics agency Eurostat disclosed that the Euro zone's producer price index (PPI) rose 0.4% month on month and 4.2% year on year in February 2005. On an annual basis, excluding energy prices, PPI rose 2.8% in the Euro zone. Intermediate goods surged 5.2% in February, while capital goods increased 1.7%. Durable and non-durable consumer goods rose 1.5% and 1.3% respectively.
