SteelOrbis has heard that European Commission might implement a country-specific quota within the scope of the safeguard measure investigation on steel imports, when the definitive results are announced.

Currently, the quotas are implemented on 23 steel products based on the average of the annual level of imports in the years 2015, 2016, and 2017.

The European Commission had previously imposed country-specific quotas back in 2002.
