In November this year, new car registrations totaled 1.17 million units in the European Union (EU), rising by 4.9 percent year on year, according to the latest figures issued by the European Automobile Manufacturers' Association (ACEA).
All major European markets all posted growth in November: Germany (+9.7 %), Spain (+2.3%), Italy (+2.2%) and France (+0.7%), with the exception of the UK (-1.3%).
Meanwhile, in the first 11 months, new passenger car registrations in the EU decreased to 14.12 million units, down 0.3 percent year on year. Germany posted an increase of 3.9 percent in the same period, while the other major EU car markets saw declines.
